Are you in a DCS Group?
A Discover ~ Connect ~ Serve Group (DCSG) is a simple, yet powerful way to meet with others for accountability and prayer. It is a grassroots tool for growth which encourages and supports people to follow Christ by fueling internal motivation rather than applying external pressures and ploys. You will grow deeper in your spiritual walk as Jesus changes lives from the inside out.
Here is a simple overview of what a DCSG is:

DCSGs meet once a week for approximately one hour.

DCSGs are groups of two or three (the addition of a fourth person is the beginning of the second group and multiplication is imminent).

The groups are not co-ed, but gender specific.

There is no leader needed in the group.

Only three tasks are to be accomplished in a DCSG:

Discover God through reading scripture repetitively - in context and community.

Connect with others by confessing sin in mutual accountability.

Serve the world by praying specifically and regularly for people who are far from God.
How do I get into a DCSG?
It is up to you to set up your DCSG. Prayerfully consider the people within your network of relationships. Ask God to lead you to one or two people to talk with about a DCSG. Don't be discouraged if they say No, keep trying. Once you are ready to go, follow the guidelines in the downloadable brochure below. There are only two suggested qualifications for starting or joining a DCSG:

A desperate need for Jesus Christ (Luke 5:29-32).

Faithfulness in the process itself (2 Timothy 2:2).
These two criteria balance one another to keep the group on track both with healing for hurting people and health for helping people. To compromise either of these principles will slow down or derail the effectiveness of the group.
